3 MONKEYS BOOK EXCHANGE
The 3 Monkeys Book Exchange aims to entertain the patrons of 3 Monkeys Fine Foods, and to generate community through the sharing of books.
Settle in to the 3 Monkeys Café with a fine coffee, a plate of excellent produce, and pick a book from our shelves to leaf through. Should you wish to take the book home with you, sign it out and off you go! Take as long as you want, with the understanding that you will bring it, or a book of similar quality, back to us when done.
A patron of 3 Monkeys who takes a book home is invited to write their name inside the cover when they return it. As the book travels out with a number of patrons over a period, the new reader can see who else has borrowed it in the past, leading to conversation about common books between the people of our region.
The 3 Monkeys Book Exchange is free for members of the Hairy Fish Club.
Non-members can take a book for $5.
We ask that no patron take more than one single book at a time, and that all borrowers respect the honour system intended by the exchange. |
